Harsig Greeting Card

5″x7″ greeting card, blank inside and perfect for any occasion. White envelope included.

Available as individual, pack of 3 or pack of 10.

The back of the card reads:

Harsig (hawr-seeg) means young bride in Armenian. Hars {hawrs) is the word for bride. The suffix “ig” makes any word or name more endearing, young and cherished. The costume in this drawing is a modern twist on an Armenian traditional bridal gown I saw in the National History Museum of Armenia when I last visited. I sketched it there on location. The multiple braids are an Armenian hair style used throughout the centuries. The background pattern is inspired by icons seen in a 10th century Armenian bible with the pomegranates representing fertility, eternity and abundance.
