Hi I’m Arpi

I create art that highlights the beauty of the Armenian culture.
If you research Armenian art in the last century, you’re likely to find emotional and somber art representing the struggle of our people. I wanted to create cultural imagery that makes people happy.  Armenians tell me my work reminds them of their childhood, whether they were spent in Armenia or in the diaspora. They relive their dance classes, elaborate cultural performances or precious time spent with their grandparents and parents. Art creates a deeper connection. People of different ethnic backgrounds love the stunning costumes, vivid color and inspiring characters. Often times, they call my characters Medieval Prince and Princesses.

Meet the Characters

Each of my characters are hand-illustrated in rich, ornate and beautifully authentic Armenian costumes. The traditional female dress is called “Daraz” and they are stunning. Imagine being adorned in jewels, with glorious headdresses and intricate embroidery. These garments did more than look pretty, they told a story.

Gift Ideas

Would you like to be

made into a character?

I truly enjoy creating personalized pieces. People love receiving portraits of their loved ones dressed like Armenian royalty to adorn their walls and to enjoy on a multitude of products custom made for them. This is a totally unique and personal gift idea which will become a family heirloom or a fun treat for yourself!
