ALIN (ah-leen) has historically had two meanings: bearer of light; and a fertile, healthy woman. The costume in this illustration was designed by the talented Vartan Aghajanyan.
The background was inspired by patterning found in the pages of ancient manuscripts found in the Madenataran — the institute of ancient manuscripts located in Yerevan, Armenia.
