A Special Thank You

My 50th year around the sun has been one of transition for me and my art. Having spent the first 8 months in cancer treatment, kidney stone surgery and getting covid, followed by another surgery has put my life into perspective like never before. I realize what is most important first and foremost is to honor my mental and physical health. My journey to wellness now includes diligent health screenings, daily walks, intentional eating, meditation and most importantly, weekly sessions with a therapist. These sessions have been peeling back my minds’ layers week after week. The discoveries, ahas and the dots that are connecting have been invaluable.

As far as my art goes, I have made a decision to not take personal commissions any more. This has been a very tough decision to make. Even though I enjoy creating them, I want to spend the energy I have on pieces that are born inside of me which continue to evolve and tell my story as I continue to write it. I have a couple more commissions to wrap up and they will be the last for the near future.

There are two BIG PROJECTS lined up for 2022!!!

I am bursting at the seams and can’t wait to share them with you!!
There will be two announcements, one in March. I don’t have a definite date on the other but will keep you posted.

I have spent the last six months developing brand new products that have not been offered before. They will be coming to a store near you and my online shop after June 2022.

Lastly, I am currently curating my first ever solo exhibit which will be a retrospective of my life, mapping out my experience as an immigrant, an art student, an illustrator, an entrepreneur and finally a fine artist. I hope you will all get a chance to see it personally.

I want to thank you all for your continued support and most importantly, prayers. You helped me transform a difficult journey into a heartwarming one. I AM SO VERY GRATEFUL FOR YOU!!

I want to wish you all peaceful and joyful holidays. I hope 2022 becomes the year you write that book, pick up the paintbrush, finish your needlework, start baking, reconnect with loved ones, go to that yoga class, and take an hour a week to browse your local bookstore or gardens to feed your soul.

All my love, Arpi
