I’m an art materials junkie and one of my favorite possessions is my Winsor & Newton watercolor field box. So I found it fitting to start my new sketchbook capturing it. My process was:
-I did a watercolor wash in Raw sienna
-I painted in the silhouette of the whole box with Ultramarine Blue Gouache.
-I inked the lines with a dip pen
-I went back in with gouache and painted over my watercolor background wash and cleaned the shapes a bit.
-Finally I used white charcoal pencil to add some highlights.
-Lettering is new to me but I love the touch it adds. I inked the writing with my dip pen.
